What is the Millennium?[edit]

This is one of the prophesies found in God's Word. The word ‘millennium' is Latin for ‘mill' = 1,000 and ‘ennia' = years. The word ‘millennium' is not found anywhere in God's Word, but is described as the 1,000 years where Jesus and His bride (all true believers in Jesus) [refer to "Salvation"] rule the earth. At the end of the tribulation [refer to "Tribulation"] the wedding feast between Jesus and His bride (Revelation 19:17-18 "... ‘Come, gather together for the great supper of God, ...") takes place. Then Jesus and His bride will rule the earth for a thousand years (Revelation 20:4-6 "... They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. ... (6)Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. ... they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.").

The Wedding Feast:[edit]

At the end of the tribulation [refer to "Tribulation"], Satan and his followers [refer to "Fallen Angels"] are defeated and thrown into the Lake of Fire for a thousand years. This thousand years is the wedding feast of Jesus and His bride (believers in Jesus). With the help of His bride [refer to "Body of Christ"], Jesus will rule over the earth for a thousand years.

The 3 Views of the Millennium:[edit]

  1. Post Millennium - The world is slowly getting better.
  2. A-Millennium - The 1,000 years is today.
  3. Pre-Millennium - It is only after the tribulation that the second coming of Jesus will take place.

The Final Judgment:[edit]

At the end of the millennium, Satan and his followers are released from the Lake of Fire for a short time. This ‘short time' will be where many on earth, even though it is Jesus ruling over them, will follow after Satan. At the end of this ‘short time', Satan and all of his followers (includes all of his new followers) will be cast into the Lake of Fire [refer to "Hell"]. In fact, anyone whose name is not found in the Book of Life will be thrown into the Lake of Fire (some verses refer to it as the Lake of Sulfur)

The millennium as described in God's Word is considered just a fairy tale to most. No different than God's creation, the flood, the tower of babel, etc...

Overview:[edit]

This will be a very amazing time for all true believers in Jesus. Satan and all of his followers will be bound in the Lake of Fire. This will be the time when any rebellion against God cannot be blamed on Satan or his demons.
